PROJECT
H2H Saltend
Lab
H2H Saltend
Technology Owner: Equinor
About: Plans to build net-zero emissions facilities in the Humber Region. To achieve these goals, Equinor (along with other partners) have and will modify existing technology to meet the project's needs. One such technology is that an auto thermal reformed of 600MW or more will be needed to produce blue hydrogen. The chemicals will be blended at 30% with natural gas in Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems' turbines in the area. This process will capture the CO2 byproduct of the hydrogen process and put it in geologic storage via a 25 km pipeline.
Application: Industrial Capture/Utilization
Type: Geologic Storage
Utilization:
Location: Humber Region, UK
Partners: Associated British Press, BP, Centrica, Drax, MHPS, National Grid Ventures, SSE Thermal, Triton Power, Zero Carbon Humber
