About: Formerly Australia's largest CCS facility integrated into a power station; Pilot facility, capturing 50 tons/day of CO2 at the Hazelwood power station (now closed); Captured CO2 was removed from the flue gases using ammonia absorption technology; It was then mixed with ash water to form calcium carbonate, which can be used by various industries, including the building trade; Excess CO2 was processed for industrial gas markets.
